This poem, like many others I have written...is about people experiencing the changing forces of love..from going through the bad times...to the good times to ultimate finality and completion
Sung by Shirley Bassey.. A most beautiful version of this complicated song

"The Changes of Love"
From the Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon
Darling, we've seen it through The good times and the bad times We've passed through that time warp To greet the new sunshine Crystal dreams, I've held in my heart Bathing in the sun next to you You have taken..things that I've given And we still have a lot of living to do You gaze upon my presence And an aura of light shines through It's like the dead have raised to life And beauty surrounds us to view I've held you close to my heart And through it all..I've never been blue Even though you have strayed from your path For me...there's been only you I've felt salty tears flow softly And I've held you close when you've been so sad I've stayed with you in the darkness Because you're the only love I've ever had God has brought me down your way With hopes that I remain with you So we can begin to greet the new sunsets And bask in the morning dew Isn't it funny How our love has grown stronger The flow and the melody of our touch Now stays in our hearts..and lingers longer This new love is like a circus Full of multicolored clowns Each day a different muse to see With mirth and laughter all around The pathway in the valley Of the life we choose to live today Leads us on to mountains high And to new adventures along the way How I've loved you richly Through this journey to perfection All the storms have passed now As I gaze upon your reflection And this is a very precious thing That God has answered my call For him to send me strength through you Is the greatest gift of all Written by Susan Jane Kahon July 10 2002 IC...U!!!!!
