In shadow of love's darkest night
Never did I know that I could dream
Of a man who's touch, so warm
Would make my heart, believe again
No danger is there, in his arms
Lying there, love was truly born
On my own, all fears ran high,
With him love took me like a storm
I crossed the line of all good reason
I stood by him on fallen ground
I sold the moon to see the sun
In hopes that he would come around
Am I to pass the blame on me
Thoughts of him run so forbidden
Am I the victim of his love crime
Don't let my passion be misgiven
I feel the laws of nature call me
And it takes me to my lonely room
I follow him, forget what truth brings
I only smell love's strong perfume
